Subtitles: Subtitles are text displayed at the bottom of the screen in films, television programs, video games or other visual media in a different language than the audio track. The purpose of subtitles is to allow people who speak different languages to understand the audio track of their choice.

Closed Captions: Closed captions provide important on-screen information for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. They usually describe sound effects and identifiers in addition to dialogue. There are set FCC regulations for closed captioning.

SDH: Supports the most popular of all accessible solutions for video content: Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SDH). SDH content is designed to be both captions and subtitles, where important non-dialogue audio like sound effects and speaker identification are presented in text.

Forced Narratives (FN): Forced narratives are those bits of text that pop up on-screen during a movie or show and help explain what you're seeing. They appear when necessary to make sure you understand what's going on, from place and time identifiers to small blocks of expository dialogue.
